Can you tell us about your journey leading up to joining Orderlion as Head of Sales?

My journey to Orderlion was shaped by years of experience in the world of sales and a passion for driving transformative changes within industries. Before joining Orderlion, I'd had the privilege of running my own B2B SAAS company. The lessons I learned along the way prepared me for my pivotal role as the Head of Sales, ensuring that I was not only equipped with the skills but also the vision to drive Orderlion's sales force forward.

What motivated you to start your own company, "Supli," and how did it align with your passion and goals?

Supli was born out of a realization that the current B2B ecosystem lacked efficiency and optimal strategies for seamless transactions. The company was not just a business endeavor but a reflection of my passion for innovation. I wanted to bring about a change that would redefine the way businesses interacted and transacted, aligning with my personal goals to drive industry-wide transformations.

How did the acquisition of "Supli" by Orderlion come about, and what were your thoughts during that transition?

When the opportunity arose for Supli to merge with Orderlion, it was a decision rooted in mutual growth and shared visions. I was exhilarated by the thought of combining our strengths, and the transition was a smooth one, marked by synergies and shared ambitions. The acquisition was not just a business move but also a testament to our collective pursuit of excellence.

How do you foresee the evolution of sales within an industry that has traditionally been resistant to change, especially when dealing with wholesalers? And how does Orderlion currently approach this challenge?

Sales in our industry face unique challenges, especially given the traditional resistance to change when engaging with wholesalers. However, at Orderlion, we see these challenges as opportunities. Our approach is grounded in research, innovation, and a deep understanding of our client's needs. We have developed strategies that are not only effective but also revolutionary, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of our industry.

With a global reach, Orderlion operates across different countries and languages. How do you approach managing sales teams and fostering effective communication in this diverse and multicultural environment?

Orderlion's reach spans across nine European countries, an accomplishment we're incredibly proud of. Despite the geographical differences, our teams are united by a shared purpose and values. We've embraced a remote work model, ensuring flexibility and autonomy for our employees. Effective communication remains paramount, and with the tools and systems in place, we've built a cohesive, multicultural team that thrives on collaboration.

What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs or professionals looking to make a significant impact in the business world?

If there's one piece of advice I'd offer, it's this: Always be driven by purpose. Whether you're starting your own venture or climbing the corporate ladder, understanding the 'why' behind your actions will guide you towards success. Stay resilient, stay curious, and remember that every challenge is an opportunity in disguise.

Romain, under your leadership, Orderlion has achieved remarkable milestones. Can you share some of the significant achievements that make you most proud?

Orderlion's journey is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the entire team. We tripled our revenue in just under 9 months, a feat that reflects our growth-driven approach. Additionally, our team has grown threefold, each member bringing unique skills and perspectives to the table. Operating in nine European countries, we're not just expanding geographically but also cementing our position as industry leaders.

As a leader, how would you articulate the values that define and guide Orderlion’s mission and vision?

Our core values - purpose, autonomy, and mastery - are the pillars upon which Orderlion stands. We believe in the impact of our work, granting our team the autonomy they need to excel, and always pushing for mastery in all that we do. These values are not mere words; they resonate in every decision we make and every strategy we deploy.
